The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Packet Mirroring feature copies all traffic sent to or from a specified network interface and sends the copied traffic to a specified destination for analysis. The Cequence Sensor integration serves as a destination for GCP Packet Mirroring.

For testing, this document assumes that you are using one application to receive traffic. Be sure to use an instance type that supports VPC traffic mirroring. See Google's VPC Traffic Mirror Support documentation for details.

Note that Cequence Sensor does not support mirroring of syslog traffic.
