The ServiceNow connector enables you to create a ServiceNow ticket to track a particular issue identified by the Cequence Unified API Protection (UAP) platform.
You can create multiple connectors. Each connector can use a different set of credentials, tags, and ticket types. The ServiceNow connector for the Cequence UAP platform can create Incidents or Service Requests.
Tickets you create with the ServiceNow connector include information on the risk, endpoint, and host associated with the risk. Additionally, the tickets include the raw request and response, as well as any optional tags that you specify at the time of creating the ticket. ServiceNow tickets are independent from issues in the context of the Cequence UAP platform's issue tracking, and status changes in one do not affect the other.
Before you start
Confirm that your Cequence UAP platform version is 8.0 or later. Earlier versions don't support connecting to ServiceNow.
What you'll need
The Cequence UAP platform requires a client ID and client secret for your ServiceNow platform. If you don't already have one available, generate a new client in your ServiceNow platform and note the client ID and client secret.
